NEW GROCERY OUTLET OPENS IN CHATSWORTH, CA
HRI Development, a Pasadena, CA-based development company reaches another milestone in completing Phase II of The Gateway at Lassen in Chatsworth, California.
Grocery Outlet, a rapidly expanding grocer in Southern California, is due to open its Chatsworth store on March 25th. Grocery Outlet joins Planet Fitness, Popeyes, Jack in the Box, Starbucks, Teriyaki Madness and Everytable at The Gateway at Lassen. The center is also complemented by a 124-room Marriott Residence Inn, currently under construction and due to open Q4, 2023. The Marriott hotel is being developed by Excel Hotel Group based in San Diego, California. “Despite unstable market conditions and COVID-related delays, we were able to bring together a very strong line-up of tenants that serve both the neighborhood and the surrounding businesses,” emphasizes Ielen Sarkisian, President of SDA, who directed the marketing and tenanting of The Gateway at Lassen.
HRI Development embarked upon an exhaustive entitlement and construction process in 2016 to accomplish the completion of The Gateway at Lassen. The project is a welcomed improvement at the intersection of Lassen and Mason, the site of the first Safeway Supermarket in the San Fernando Valley dating back to 1955. “We are delivering to the community what we promised and we are grateful for the support we received from the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council and Councilman John Lee’s office,” said Hamo Rostamian, president of HRI Development.
HRI Development continues to seek and pursue opportunities to develop and build single tenant-net-leased projects across Southern California.
